What We Collect

Only what's needed to run a streaming platform:

What We Don't Do

AI & Transcription

OpenVibe.Live has optional AI features that generate overviews, memories, and summaries of streams, VODs, clips, and pastes to make them easier to browse.

Audio transcription runs locally on our own server (whisper.cpp) — your stream audio is not sent to a third-party transcription API. Frame analysis for stream memories may use an AI provider, gated by a strict daily budget and only on content you've made available on the platform.

Generated transcripts, timestamps, and overviews are stored alongside the content they describe and follow the same visibility you chose for that content. If you delete a VOD, clip, or paste, its AI-generated data goes with it.

Your call: AI features are there to help discovery. If you set your content to private, its AI overview and transcript are private too.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser local-storage entries to keep you signed in, remember your theme and volume preferences, and keep the site working. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Who We Share With (Only When Needed)

To actually run a streaming site, a few services are involved. Each only gets what it needs:

  1. Infrastructure & CDN — for delivering the site and video, and for basic DDoS/abuse protection.
  2. Object storage — VOD and clip files are stored on cloud object storage so they don't fill our servers.
  3. Payment processors — to handle purchases and tips securely.
  4. Restreaming platforms you connect — if you link Twitch, YouTube, or Kick to multistream, we send your stream to those platforms using the credentials you authorize. Their privacy policies apply to what happens on their side.

We may also disclose information if we're legally required to, or to protect people from imminent harm.

You Control What's Public

Anything you post can be set to public (listed and visible), unlisted (only reachable with the direct link), or private (just you and staff). Live streams are public while you're live. Think before you broadcast — a live stream is, by nature, public.

Retention & Deletion

We keep your content and account data while your account is active. You can delete your own VODs, clips, and pastes at any time from your dashboard or channel page. Deleting content removes it from storage (including backups on object storage) and takes its AI-generated data with it.

Want your whole account gone? Reach out and we'll remove your account and associated personal data, except anything we're legally required to retain (e.g., records tied to a CSAM report).

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. We're a small community project, but we'll honor reasonable requests — just contact us.

Children

You must be at least 13 to have an account. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll announce it in Discord and/or post a notice on the site. We're not a corporation — we're not going to quietly slip in bullshit. If something changes, we'll say so.
